Mathematics Department - Instructor Positions

Instructor Positions

The Mathematics Department at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, invites applications for full-time Teaching Instructor positions beginning Fall 2016. The number of positions is subject to budgetary constraints. These are one year, non-tenure-track positions at the New Brunswick/Piscataway campus, which can lead to long-term, multi-year contracts. These positions are meant for candidates preparing for a career as faculty at institutions with an emphasis on excellence in undergraduate education. The committee will be looking within the applications for specific evidence of outstanding teaching credentials and experience with educational technology. Having a Ph.D. in mathematics is strongly preferred, and candidates with an interest in mathematics education are encouraged to apply. Faculty in these positions teach primarily, but are not limited to, first and second year Calculus courses, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and courses in the Mathematics for Liberal Arts program. Teaching load is 4 courses (12 credit hours) per 15-week semester.
